Welcome to ITEA 2

ITEA 2, the follow-up to the successful ITEA programme, is a strategic pan-European programme. It stimulates and supports innovative and pre-competitive R&D projects that contribute research excellence to European industry in Software-intensive Systems and Services (SiSS). Our ambition is to mobilise a total of 20,000 person-years over the full eight-year period of the programme.

ITEA 2 offers once a year the opportunity to submit research project proposals in the domain of Software-intensive Systems and Services. For this purpose, a Call is organised each year starting with a two-day networking event. 

As a EUREKA Cluster programme, our approach is intergovernmental, bottom up and industry driven. ITEA 2 is open to partners from large industrial companies and SMEs, research institutes and universities, as well as profit and non-profit user organisations. Partners participating in ITEA 2 labelled projects can be supported by their national Public Authorities with national public funding.
