In October the research and industry project TT-Medal (Test & Testing Methodologies for Advanced Languages) won the Achievement Award 2005 of the European Program ITEA (Information Technology for European Advancement). The award was presented at the 6th ITEA Symposium in Helsinki, Finland in recognition of the standards-based solution developed by TT-Medal which renders testing more effective, more efficient and more transparent, thus enabling more rapid development and execution of software and systems tests.
The ITEA Achievement Award honors pioneering project work that promotes the technological advancement of Europe. The TT-Medal team consists of scientists from the Fraunhofer Institute for Open Communication Systems FOKUS and partners from Finland (Nokia, VTT Electronic, NetHawk, Conformiq Software Ltd.), Germany (DaimlerChrysler, Testing Technologies, Nokia) and the Netherlands (LogicaCMG, CWI, Improve Quality Services, ProRail).
