Artemis receives the Gold Exhibition Award at the ITEA Symposium

At the ITEA (Information Technology for European Advancement) Symposium held on 5-6 October, INT’s Artemis Department received the Gold Exhibition Award for its ITEA Passepartout project. The team was praised for its ability to communicate the objectives, achievements and results of its project in an easy-to-understand and dynamic manner.
The Passepartout project aims to develop new ambient intelligence technologies inspired by virtual reality in order to create the interactive and customized digital television of tomorrow. The Artemis Department is responsible for the project’s 3D media component, bringing together 19 partners and 5 different nationalities.
ITEA 2006 was also an opportunity for Artemis to present two innovative services (in collaboration with Philips, Thomson, and Eindhoven University of Technology): “3D on Demand” and “My Multimedia World”.
