| ITEA & ARTEMIS Co-summit | ||
| This year's ITEA & ARTEMIS Co-summit took place on 26 and 27 October in the ICC in Ghent, Belgium. The Co-summit gave participants the exceptional opportunity to see over 75 projects combining research excellence with innovation at the project exhibitions of ITEA 2 and ARTEMIS (open on both days). Furthermore, Tuesday 26 October included plenary family sessions of ITEA and ARTEMIS and project presentations of the Achievement Award 2010 nominees. Wednesday 27 October included high-level keynote speeches and parallel sessions related to the Co-summit theme 'Mobile and cloud power enabling massive scalability and opportunities for growth'. |

| Seminar "Same room spirit in multisite fashion" | ||
| "Same room spirit in multisite fashion" refers to making globally distributed development better, more productive and effective. This is increasingly important as business forces, such as increasing competition, complexity and time to market pressure require project development on multiple sites. The industry suffers from decreasing productivity due to current practices and tools that do not support globally distributed development well. The seminar was organised by the ITEA project PRISMA (Productivity in Collaborative Systems Development). |

| In conjunction with AINA 2010 - The IEEE 24th International Conference on Advanced Information Networking and Applications Smart and reliable service interoperability and composition across heterogeneous platforms and networking environments build the foundation for added-value services has become a competitive factor for many industrial branches. OEMs and suppliers from various application domains such as automotive, avionics, home, tele-medicine or factory automation provide added-value services. This IEEE workshop encouraged communication and exchange of ideas between industrial and academic researchers and developers in the field of middleware and service-oriented architectures, programming paradigms, design, and engineering, especially for heterogeneous industrial environments. | The HANNOVER MESSE - showcase for industrial technology, was held from 19 to 23 April 2010. This year the spotlight was on industrial automation, energy, technology, industrial subcontracting and cutting-edge technologies. Both Rudolf Haggenmüller and SmartTouch project leader Tuomo Tuikka were invited to speak during the Tech Transfer Forum on 19 April. | The Celtic Initiative organised its 5th official Celtic Event on 12th and 13th April 2010 at the Valencia Congress Center in Valencia/ Spain. The Event was targeted to decision makers, managers, and technical experts from telecommunications industry, operators, and academia. The Event was embedded in a whole week's conference around the IV conference on FP7 in Spain, titled, "From Economic Recovery to Sustainability" from 12 to 16 April 2010, which was co-organised with the Spanish Ministry, the EU Commission and the FIA (Future Internet Assembly). |
