Student Day Tutorial 2010

27 October 2010, ICC ghent - Belgium

At this year's Co-summit Phd and Master students of Belgian universities were invited for the second day of the event. They were able to follow the regular Programme of 27 October.  In the afternoon a special Student Tutorial was organised.

The aim of this tutorial was to show the possibilities and the attractiveness of taking up a career in interanational, collaborative, innovative research.

Koen De Bosschere, Coordinator of HiPEAC2 was the moderator of the session. Three different viewpoints were presented during the session:

• Rudy Lauwereins - Presented slides - Designing the invisible
• Tom Bert - Barco focused on how innovation is organised in Barco and what this brought for the company but also for himself.
• Tom Tourwé - SIRRIS talked about the importance of innovative, collaborative research for Small and Medium sized enterprises.
